“They are currently the smallest MLCC products on the market to deliver such capacitance levels,” claimed the company, “representing a 65% size reduction on the 0402 – 1005M products that would normally need to be specified. ”

Called GRM035R60G106M, the parts a -55 to +85℃ range using an X5R dielectric, to be followed by 6.3V -55 to 85℃ with the same dielectric in 2024 (GRM035R60J106M).

Also in the pipeline, scheduled for mass production in September, is an X6S dielectric 2.5V -55 to +105℃ capacitor to be called GRM035C80E106M).

All three parts are nominally 0.5mm high (0.55mm max)

“These MLCCs are suited to the decoupling and smoothing circuitry of smartphone handsets, portable equipment, wearables, domestic appliances, servers and IoT hardware.” said Murata.
