The Best Corduroy Pants for Fall - 50 IS NOT OLD - A Fashion And Beauty Blog For Women Over 50

It’s true; everything really does come around again. If you haven’t heard, corduroy is BACK. Believe it or not, I remember one of the first pairs I ever owned. I was in high school and had been asked out on a double date. Of course, I was freaking out and BEGGED my mom to take me to the local boutique to shop. I ended up buying a pair of cream corduroy pants and a purple Fair Isle sweater. The pants lasted longer than the relationship, lol. Anyway, today I’m sharing the best corduroy pants for fall.

I’m guessing a LOT of you have this plum pair of corduroys since they were a top seller last week. They are a gorgeous color, fit great, and look amazing with the Plum Leopard Trapunto Tunic. I also styled a Brown Straight Leg Corduroy Pants pair, but the plum was the biggest seller. Rayon Dyed Fabric

The Best Corduroy Pants for Fall - 50 IS NOT OLD - A Fashion And Beauty Blog For Women Over 50

Earlier this week, I styled this outfit which featured a pair of wide-wale corduroy pants. 😍 I can’t tell you how much I love this outfit! The colors are very similar to the outfit above, so you might be seeing a trend. If you’ve never heard of Appleseed’s, you’ll be thanking me for introducing you. Their clothing is of very nice quality, and their styles are modern, but work wonderfully for us “mature” women.

I wanted to show you how choosing classic items will last the test of time. This is an OLD photo from 2020, and I still have and wear all of these pieces. I have several colors of the turtleneck sweater and corduroy pants. I’m not sure if the color of the pants is still available, but there are a lot of other colors to choose from.

Love these modern crop pants from Nordstrom. Corduroy doesn’t have to be old-fashioned. I think the front pockets are fabulous! These are casual and fun and very NOW.

Kut from the Kloth is one of my favorite brands to shop at Nordstrom. I’ve got several jeans from them, and they always fit so well. These are described as high-waist flares, but I think it feels more like boot cut +. That’s a new term I just invented, lol. I love the color, but they are also available in butterscotch if you prefer.

Here’s another pair by Kut from the Kloth. Now THIS is what I call a flare. I love wide-legged pants, and I like that these are ankle-length. The reviews say that these run true to size and are very flattering.

These are just GORGEOUS. I still love wide-leg pants, and these get extra points for the stitched hem. These are very ON-TREND, but they’re rendered in a classic silhouette. These would be great to wear throughout the fall.

Here’s another very cute and casual pair! I love the button detailing. You could wear these with a great sweater, a graphic tee, or a cropped sweatshirt. Pair them with a variety of shoes, such as sneakers, clogs, or booties. These would be my go-to pants for fall!

These are giving me 1970 vibes, and I like it! If you love corduroy but don’t want to invest a ton of money, these pants from Amazon are for you. They are just $30 dollars and come in several other great fall colors. They run a bit big, so if you’re in between sizes, size down.

I always say it’s about the details! I like the nice size pockets and the front seam. The color is nice, but if you’re not a fan, they also come in black, grey, and a darker brown. I can just see these paired with a crew neck sweater and a fall scarf. They are very affordable, $42 dollars!

These are super comfortable corduroy pants with a nice stretch. My sister recently purchased a pair to take on a fall trip with the ladies, and she loved them. They are pull-on with an elastic waist and run true to size. They are only $39 dollars and come in a ton of colors!

Well, gurls! Are you ready to jump back into a pair of corduroy pants? For me, there’s only one drawback……

I am excited that Corduroy is back, I have a few left. Whether they fit or not is questionable, LOL!! But I am glad it is back.

This is the year I’m getting some corduroy pants. It’s been too long!! Love a few of these!!

I love, love love the corduroy pants you’re wearing with the black sweater next to the welcome sign!! That color is perfect for me, but isn’t available anymore. Let us know if you come across anything with a similar style in that color!

Thanks for all of the great style suggestions!

Love the corduroy pants and the boots and shirts!!

Thanks for the ideas for corduroy pants.

Love a good cordoroy pant!

L The corduroy pants bring back memories of high school as well. I love the plum outfit you wore last week and also the cream colored. Enjoy your grandkids. Glad you unblocked your granddaughter. 🙂

Lol! You can’t block that girl!

Love corduroy pants – so glad they are back in style!

Love a good pair of cords. so many options now.

I havent had much luck with corduroy not showing my lumps and bumps.

Really, I think the wide wale do a great job of not showing imperfections.

Defiantly going to try the cords!!

I don’t have corduroy but an willing to try!

And to think…I got rid of my corduroy pants a couple years ago! I guess the old saying is true about hanging on to things, they will eventually come back in style!!

Love all the corduroy pants especially the flares and wide legs. I’m a 70s girl too. I bought a corduroy blazer and two corduroy jeans in burgundy and camel. I’m going to check your links out too. I can’t wait for a cold front. it’s still so hot in the afternoons.

I’m looking for a corduroy blazer for myself.

corduroy pants! I haven’t worn a pair in years. there’s something about them that just screams…..FALL! now I need a pair that don’t make a zip zip sound when I walk!

Lol! That is part of the charm of corduroy pants.

Tania, Have a great weekend! As much as I like corduroy pants, I never wore the ones I had in my closet the last two years. I just never reached for them 😳. Maybe I’ll try a different style from what I’ve had in the past; hopefully, I will like them better.

Ginger, maybe a new style will not feel the same. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve never been much of a corduroy fan, but these are all so cute!

Love the Levi’s commercial!!! So funny and so true!

I’m so glad corduroy is back in style! Enjoy your littles this weekend.

I am going to order a pair of corduroy pants from Kuth that you showed. An alternative to jeans!

I think they look dressier than jeans.

I remember corduroy pants. I might have to purchase a pair.

I love cords! The Levi’s ad is hilarious and true! Thanks for sharing

I remember my first cords too. I didn’t like them. LOL! I was probably 4th grade or so. I remember the sound they made (like the video demonstrates-ha) and it embarrassed me. Doesn’t take much when you’re a kid. I love corduroy now. Oh and the word even makes me happy, since it reminds me of the book I read to my kids so many times. I still don’t think I’ve ever gotten through that last page without my voice cracking. My kids are old enough to be quite used to that with me though. 😀

I actually like the sound that corduroys make.

thanks for sharing so many great options. It’s been years since I wore cords, I may have to check these out.

Sounds like you are gonna have a great weekend with family! Enjoy every minute!! I am loving the darker corduroy pants. I will be looking into getting a couple of these!! 😃

May have to try the corduroy. Haven’t worn them in years. Lots of pretty colors!

So glad corduroy is back. Loved them twenty years ago and love them today.

Love corduroy pants and Kut from the Kloth are my favorite.

Love all the looks, especially the tan pants with black turtleneck! So chic and classy!

Thank you for sharing all of these great pants! I am looking for some and now I have some great places to start searching. Enjoy your family this weekend!

I love the ankle length corduroy pants

Okay, now! I’m definitely looking into some cords for Fall! 🍂💛

Loved your story about Emeryson. Very cute.

The link to the fall coats does. not work takes you to yesterdays post.

I love corduroy pants too! Loft has a great pair in a beautiful green!

Love these, especially the darker colors.

I have a couple of dark brown ones on order.

I love corduroy pants, especially Talbots brand. We went on a Colorado ski trip a couple of years ago and I stocked up. They are so warm and comfortable, but look nicer than jeans. We’re traveling to Germany for a Christmas markets cruise in December, definitely will be packing corduroys for warmth. Great looks.

I have several pairs of Talbots corduroy pants.

I LOVE corduroy’s! I didn’t know they ever went away. 😂 (At least they never did for me!) And I have a corduroy jacket that is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I’ve had it forever and my husband really thinks it should be tossed, but I say it can only go when I find an equal replacement. Maybe this will be the year! It is getting rather worn.

Kay, you might be in luck to replace the jacket this year. I’ve seen a lot of corduroy jackets in the stores this year.
