Superior Industries to acquires Cemco - Equipment Journal

Superior Industries has announced it plans to acquire the New Mexico-based Cemco.

Cemco is a 60-year-old manufacturing company and originator of the modern Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) crusher, designed for production of roadbuilding material. Parts For Hsi

Today, Cemco continues to design and manufacture VSI crushers for the aggregate, recycling, mining and energy markets worldwide.

Superior Industries recently signed a letter of intent to acquire the manufacturer.

With the addition of the Cemco’s VSI line, a 13,000 square metre manufacturing facility in New Mexico, and dozens of experienced employees, Superior takes another step in its goal of providing more opportunities for dealers and a diverse portfolio of proven products for producers.

The CEMCO VSI is a proven, trusted crusher with capacity rates up to 1,500 tons per hour and models ranging from 75 to 1,000 horsepower in single or dual drive packages. Cemco’s original VSI is still in service today in New Mexico.

Superior Industries engineers and manufactures bulk material processing and handling equipment as well as components.

In addition to manufacturing facilities in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Superior is headquartered in Morris, Minnesota, with four additional facilities in the United States and international factories in Brazil and China.
